Clontarf Road races

We had two participants over the weekend….Congratulations to Sarah Flaherty who ran in the Clontarf Junior Race today in Dollymount and had a fine third place finish in this category whilst also finishing in 11th position overall. Great running by Sarah.

Steven Flaherty also participated in the Junior race and ran very well.

The races keep coming…..

After our exploits last weekend, a few of our athletes were representing their schools at yesterday’s Blackrock College Secondary Schools Invitational.

They included: Sarah Healy (1st Minor Holy Child), Natash Twomey (2nd Minor Mount Anville), Juklie Ringrose (10th Minor Mount Anville), Anna Daly (11th Minor Holy Child), Jennifer O’Brien (18th Minor Mount Anville), Sarah O’Dea (20th Minor Mount Anville), Padraig Purcell (1st Minor Colaiste Eoin), Sean Kinsella (Colaiste Eoin) and Mika Ryan (Oatlands).
Mount Anville (2nd), Holy Child Killiney (3rd) and Colaiste Eoin (1st boys) all featured in the team events.

Well done to all…

Sarah Healy stormed to her third All Ireland XC title in as many years when securing the girls U14 race in glorious fashion at Santry Demense earlier today. In doing so this was probably the sweetest one to date in a top class field roared on by the Blackrock supporters and her club colleagues.

Sarah and Pappy crowned Dublin Champions (**with all photos**)

It was another great day for Dublin’s top young athletes as the XC season arrived at the hustle and bustle of St Anne’s Park in Raheny. Once the place of a stately mansion belonging to the Guinness family, today it hosted the Dublin Even Age Championships with a string of great performances from our Juvenile teams.

Congratulations to Sarah Healy and Pappy Tucker who continued our fine tradition at these championships with two excellent individual performances and Dublin titles at U14 & U12 respectively.
