The All Ireland T&F Schools took place on Saturday in Tullamore with athletes and spectators enjoying glorious sunshine and some fine individual displays. Congratulations to Sarah Healy (Holy Child Killiney) and AmyRose Farrell (Mount Anville) on taking individual honours on a day when our all our club athletes secured top 3 finishes in their various events.
Sarah Healy (HCK) rounded off a great few weeks when she dominated the girls U16 mile taking a well deserved victory and in the process breaking last years record with a fine run of 5 mins 03 secs. Well done to Sarah who signed off in great style and has had another great schools campaign.
In the first track race of the day, AmyRose Farrell (Mount Anville) also signed off in great style when winning out in a very tactical Intermediate Girls 3000m. It was a great victory and her first in the schools category. Well done to AmyRose.
Emma O’Brien (Mount Anville) was fifth in the girls Minor 100m and both her and Ellen Cheung (Mount Anville) guided the team to a fine silver medal in the Minor Girls 4 x 100m relay.
Robyn O’Brien (Mount Anville) was fifth in a blistering girls Inter 100m and was then joined by school colleagues Sarah O’Dea and Natasha Twomey in taking bronze in the Inter Girls 4 x 100m relay
Congratulations to all our athletes and Mount Anville narrowly missed out on taking the Overall Top School in the Girls category
