Amy Rose Farrell was in action yesterday at the European XC championships in Chia, Italy. The flat terrain made for some very fast races and the Junior women’s race had a pretty lively pace from the start. Amy Rose was in super form as she went with the lead group and was with them up until the last loop when the classy German athlete, Konstanze Klosterhalfen, took control of proceedings, eventually winning out comfortably. Amy Rose finished in an excellent 22nd place (first Irish Athlete home) in a very strong time over the 4150m course. The Irish team came in 10th place.
Congrats from us all on what was a fantastic overall experience. She was the third youngest athlete in the field and has another three years at this level!
