It was a busy weekend for the Irish Junior athletes who were competing in Kent & Tiblisi. Our very own AmyRose Farrell was in action at the Schools International T&F in Kent. And what a race she was involved in. Having been in a commanding position half way through the race she was involved in a “heavy” collision with one of the English athletes. By the time both athletes got back on their feet a gap of over 30m had opened up to the main group with the leadrs a further 10 metres ahead. AmyRose battled bravely to get back to the main group and then pushed on again finishing in third place in surely what was the “comeback of the day”. Well done to AmyRose on a brave performance and maybe on another day it would have been a different colour medal.
