Merrion Square was the setting of the start of VHI Women’s Mini Marathon 2015 on a damp and windy June Bank Holiday Monday. Among the 37,000 participants was the biggest ever contingent from Blackrock A.C. at any race. Following their sub-39 minutes pbs in the Dunboyne 5 on the Tuesday before and running well in the Irishtown Meet & Train on the following Wedneday, Sarah-Rose and Patricia were 1st and 2nd home from the club, the first time both have broken 50 minutes. Patricia was followed closely by Mary Mason. Down the field we had many good runs and many personal best times with some of the ladies some running their first 10km race ever.
