Parkrun
A good number of Blackrock A.C. members exchanged the weekly Cabinteely for St Anne’s Parkrun this week, not only running some fantastic times, but also joining the Clontarf running group for their post Parkrun training.
A special mention to Ted who has achieved a new PB of 17:55 in St Anne’s.

Blackrock A.C. Tip of the week
For runners seeking peak performance, the ideal is to determine within a tenth of a mile, if possible, the weekly mileage at which your body self-destructs. Then you can train to the edge of disaster, staying safe, but occasionally pushing over that edge to determine whether months and years of steady training (or a new pair of shoes) have allowed you to nudge your breaking point to a new level. And to permit you to train just under that point and run faster in your next race.

Anyone who had not completed the Covid-19 survey can do so at the following link (Covid19 form link). If anyone is not feeling well in any way or injured you should not come to training. For those currently on trial, if you want to join the club and become a member you can register now. Membership prices are reduced as it is past August.
