The annual Sports day was held in the park on Sunday and brought an end to another busy and successful season for Blackrock Athletics Club. We would like to thank those who volunteered in helping out with the various duties.
As always we were joined by our close neighbours Cabinteely A.C.
The event also saw the Inaugural hosting of the Rory Byrne Men’s Senior race which was won by Barry Thornton. Rory was a past member of the club and we are delighted that this race will be incorporated in to our Annual Sports Day programme moving forward.
Congratulations to Barry on a fine race.
The club hosts it’s last main session on Thursday evening before closing for a well deserved break.
