Sarah Healy added another major title to her resume when she dominated the Junior girls 2000m in Santry earlier today. The race itself was a great advert for the Schools XC competition with a pulsating pace from the off and plenty of Blackrock girls in the mix. Sarah was in great form as she broke away with fellow club colleague, AmyRose Farrell on the second lap and they served up an exciting finish for the spectators. The race itself had a large contingent from the club and they didn’t disappoint with five club athletes in the top 20 and Mt Anville and Holy Child finishing first and second in the team event.

Competitors as follows:

Boys Minor race: Patrick Tucker (St Michaels) 5th place and qualifies for the All Ireland’s- Congrats to Pappy on a great race

Girls Junior race: Sarah Healy (HCK) 1st place, AmyRose Farrell (Mt Anville) 2nd place, Lara Gillespie (Wesley College) 7th place, Julie Ringrose (Mt Anville) 20th, Anna Daly (HCK) 22nd and Jennifer O’Brien (Mt Anville) 30th
