Class of 2015 sign off in style at All Ireland Secondary Schools T&F (photos included)

Tullamore took centre stage yesterday with the All Ireland Secondary Schools programme rounding off another successful year for all involved. The day itself included some outstanding performances in less than perfect conditions.

Congratulations to our athletes who were representing their schools and did themselves proud with a host of top 3’s including another individual title for Sarah Healy and team golds in the 4 x 100m relay for St Michael’s boys and Mount Anville girls.

Robyn O’Brien (Mount Anville) and Anna Daly (Holy Child Killiney) both had fine second place finishes in the Junior 100m sprint & 75m Hurdles respectively. A great set of runs in the conditions and against very strong opposition.

Sarah Healy (Holy Child) and AmyRose Farrell (Mount Anville) battled all the way to the finish line in a pulsating Junior girls 1500m with Sarah notching her ninth All Ireland title and AmyRose showing excellent form with a fine second place. Well done to both girls,

Robyn was joined by Natasha Twomey & Sarah O’Dea in bringing Mount Anville’s Junior relay squad home to a well deserved gold nedal.

Pappy Tucker was part of the very impressive St Michael’s relay team which took gold in the Boys Minor 4 x 100m relay event.

Well done to all
