Well done to everyone who took part in the Cork Virtual events over the weekend. An amazing run by Imelda who completed her first half marathon. It seems just like a few months ago she completed her first 5km. We also had a fine run by Sarah who did her longest run ever, starting at Howth Summit and finishing close to the Merrion Gates. James D, Patricia (2.00), James C (1.54), Victoria (1.54) as well as Melanie and Mark (both1:51) all ran well in the half with Ger, Gerry and Ted completing the marathon (Blackrock to Howth and back) in under 3.30.

This also marked a milestone for Gerry who completed his 45th marathon. Well done everyone in heat and wind. Bryan also ran another marathon in Cavan. How many is that now Bryan?

Hopefully next year we will see many of those from the Cork virtual take the trip to Cork for the real thing.

Volunteers Sought

Volunteers are sought to help with training in the coming summer months. It just involves staying at the back of a group or with an individual and running at their pace. If you can help from time to time, please let Gerry know by email, by text or at training.

COVID Reminder

Thanks to everyone who co-operated with training and HSE requirements at training last week. Anyone who had not completed the Covid-19 survey can do so at the following link (Covid19 form link). If anyone is not feeling well in any way or injured you should not come to training. The current requirements will remain in place until further notice.
