We had a big turn out on Saturday in Abbotstown. Congratulations to Philip Doyle on his U14 boys LJ title with a very impressive 5.02. We also had several top 3 finishes across all the events. Report as follows:
Under 12’s: Well done to all athletes today who took part today in the 60m sprints . It was very competitive for both boys and girls . Conor Burke and Matthew ODonnell made the semi finals and Matthew narrowly missed out on the finals. Leah McHugh and Aela kelly made it through to the semi finals with strong performances but unfortunately didn’t make the finals.
Under 13’s: The following ran in today’s 60m sprint and while no podium places the team did well with four of the girls going forward to the Semis and two made it to the finals in Alexandra Doyle and Brianna Dwyer Carty finishing 5th and 6th respectively. Well done also to Kate Molony, Finn Van Der Voort, Marcus Moyna,, Hannah Carroll, Emily Furey, Jessica Carrol, Megan Brunt, Riona Kelly and Luong Haverty
Under 14’s: Congrats to Phulip Doyle on his great win in the boys U14 LJ. Holly O’Brien also had a great run in the girls 800m finishing 3rd. Both athletes will now go on to the Nationals in late March. We also had good performances from David McMahon and Daniel Norton in the LJ.
Under 15’s: Annalie McMahon was our soul representative in this age group and picked up a great Silver medal in the LJ with a new PB. She will now go to represent the club at the All Ireland’s in late March
Under 16’s: Congrats to Killian Curran 3rd in the Boys 200m and fourth in the LJ and Robert O’Brien 3rd in the Long Jump. Both athletes will now go on to represent the Club at the All Ireland’s in late March.
Under 18’s: Well done to Lucy Schwer on a fine Silver medal in the Girls High Jump. Lucy will also go on to represent the club at the All Ireland,s in late March
