Recently Blackrock A.C. entered the .IE Digital Town Awards. Over the past 7 months, things have been very busy with our digital profile. An array of digital tools from visual edits to SEO and all things in between have been implemented in bringing about our new communications strategy. As anyone from Blackrock A.C. will attest, we love a good challenge so thought it was a great opportunity to showcase our work in this competition.

Urban Town Category of the .IE Digital Town Awards

Blackrock A.C. have since been shortlisted in the urban town category and will represent Blackrock at the .IE Digital Town Awards. Also in the running will be Balbriggan, as well as neighbours Dun Laoghaire. The Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 10 June at 4pm virtually and will run for one hour. Blackrock A.C. would like to invite you to register to attend.

The .IE Digital Town Awards 2021 are the first pillar of activity under .IE Digital Town which has been developed to address digital enhancement and adoption in Ireland.

The Awards promote awareness, knowledge, use and understanding of digital in Ireland by its citizens, businesses and communities. They also highlight the benefits and possibilities of digital and celebrate the digital achievements of local towns, big and small. The Awards are for towns of various sizes across Ireland.

There are 14 awards in a number of categories with a total prize fund of €100,000 in 2021. For the urban town category, there are two prizes of €9,000 and €5,000 for first and second places.
