Last Wednesday saw the Dublin Indoors come to a close with another great night of performances. Congrats to Bobbi Gillespie (PV), Johnny Doyle (Shot) and the girls U15 relay squad on their top 3 finishes. They will now go on to represent the club at the Nationals in late March. Results and performances as follows:
Girls U17 Pole Vault: Well done to Bobbi Gillespie on a great performance taking a fine silver medal with a new PB of 2.4
Boys U16 Shot: Johnny Doyle followed up his 60m bronze with an equally impressive first outing in the Shot Putt discipline and a fine bronze medal.
Girls & Boys U11 relays: Well done to the Boys A squad on a fine 3rd place and the Girls A squad on a equally promising 5th place in the U11 finals. All the squads did extremely well on the night. The athletes competing were:
Boys A: Niall Farren, Bobby Somers, Thomas Gavin, Julian Browne/ Boys B: Ross McDonagh, Jonathan Darby, Dylan Maher, Noah Sexton.
Girls A: Amelia Doyle, Alex Fellner Ring, Annabel Wyse, Ellen Lynch/
Girls B: Jessica Bree, Sofia Kavanagh, Ruby Finnegan, Saoirse Dowling
Girls C: Ella McDonagh, Lauren McHugh, Aoife Conlon, Lauren Kelly.
Girls & Boys U13 relays: The U13 girls A squad just missed out on the Nationals finishing 4th in the final but put in a great all round performance. Once again we were well represented in this age group with strong runs from all the squads. The teams were:
Girls Team 1: Alexandra Doyle, Kate Molony, Jessica Carroll, Brianna Dwyer Carty
Girls Team 2: Matilda Porcu, Kayla Sexton, Megan Brunt, Riona Kelly
Boys Team: Marcus Moyna, Andrew Clancy, Michael Nolan, Luong Haverty
Girls & Boys U15 relays: Congrats to the U15 girls squad who made the Nationals with a fine 3rd place in the final. The boys U15 squad just missed out on a podium finish having to settel for 4th place in their final.
Girls Team: Annalie McMahon, Libby O’Gorman, Ruby Mullen, Holly O’Brien
Boys Team: Donal Martin, Mark Brophy, James Browne, Jack Fairmaner
Girls U17 relays: It was great to see the girls coming back together for an outing at this level. They did extremely well and finished in a very fine 4th place. The team was Issy O’Brien, Sarah O’Brien, Beth Carty and Meadhbh Doyle
