Once again we had a big turn out in all the age groups at the Dublin Relays held over the last 7 days in Tallaght and Irishtown. We had an incredible six teams competing in the U13 age group and five teams competing in the U14 age group. Well done to all our athletes and coaches in getting the teams ready for these races.

U12 age group:
U12 Girls 1st place: Libby O Gorman, Ruby Mullen, Annalie McMahon and Grace O’Connor
U12 Boys 1st in heat but lost out on a final place: Donal Martin, Jack Fairmaner, Louis Bolger and Paul Sweeney
U13 age group:
In the U13’s we had a total of six teams competing which was a great effort by all involved. The teams were as follows:
U13 Boys 3rd in the final: Robert O’Brien, Killian Curran, Luke Kirkland, Shane van Zuydam, Andrew Quinn and Steven Flaherty
U13 B boys: Matthew Slevin, Tim O’Sullivan, Patrick White and Luke Fitzgerald
U13 C boys: Ziyad Omar, Tom O’Connor, Matt Jordan and Niall O’Shea
U13 A girls: Ella Cowman, Anna McCarthy, Niamh Walshe, Laura Hegarty, Lauren O’Donoghue and Ella Bolger
U13 B girls: Hannah O’Brien, Amelie Cafferky, Sophie Maher and Grace Naughton
U13 C girls: Amelia Axelsson, Ciara Thornton, Siobhan O’Shea and Dara Smyth
U14 age group:
In the U14’s we had a total of five teams competing which was a great effort by all involved. The teams were as follows:
U14 A girls 5th in the final: Sarah O’Brien, Isabel O’Brien, Grace Cawley & Beth Carty
U14 B girls were on track to make the final until they dropped the baron- unlucky girls!!: Lauren Walsh, Luch Schwer, Simone Town and Ciara Dunne
U14 C girls: Kate Haugh, Meadhbh Doyle, Sophie Rhatigan and Helen Cawley
U14 A boys- made the final: Ruben Bolger, Enda Kickham, Doug Walshe and Ciaran Patchell
U14 B boys: Charlie Bastow, Robert O’Brien, Joe Sweeney and James O’Brien
U14 C boys- made the final: John Guilbert, Sam O’Kelly, Killian Curran and Yuri Cox
In the U16 Boys we welcomed back Mark O’Brien, who was making his first appearance with the club after three years out. It was great to see him back in the club vest and the lads performed very well having only got together before the race itself.
