Blackrock Athletic club hosted its annual table quiz on Friday last. We had a full house once again of eager quizzers hoping to be crowned champion and win bragging rights for the year.

Thank you to our main sponsors Bryan S Ryan, Energy Bia for the winning prize donation and Cpl, Todayfm and Fast Fit as well as many others who brought spot prizes.

It was the closest ever quiz with six teams in the mix with a round to go and we had to go to a tiebreaker question (what area is the island of Ireland in kilometres squared…for those of you interested).

We also ran our first table quiz for juvenile athletes and the kids were very impressive in their general knowledge. Well done to Isabel Lynch for winning the spot prize.

The club would like to thank everyone who came and participated and put money into the raffle. The funds raised on the evening are invested in the various training facilities used throughout the year and ongoing equipment requirements.
