August has been a busy month for Blackrock A.C. Fit4life with many members taking part in parkruns and other races. Many members ran some of their best times ever on three of the hilliest courses in Ireland. Pride of place good to the ladies who were on the podium for 2 events. In the Rock and Roll Half marathon, incorporating the National Championship, Grainne Grennan was third lady in her category and the F50 ladies team of Grainne Grennan, Derlva Batt and Patricia Forde were placed third overall in the national team championship. In the Frank Duffy 10miler incorporating the Dublin Championship, Grainne Grennan was first lady in her category and the F50 ladies team of Grainne Grennan, Derlva Batt and Dee O’Mahony placed third overall in the Dublin team championship. Superb running by the ladies. The club also has it its biggest ever participation at the Bay 10km in Dún Laoghaire.
