Fit4Life summary November

Good running by Blackrock A.C Coaches and Fit4life – November 2013

Well done to a number of coaches who recently ran in the Dublin Marathon 2013.
In his 1st marathon, Paul O’Brien ran well and finished in 3:50:42 followed closely by Michael O’Brien in 3:55:43 and running his 2nd marathon. Gerry Flaherty finished well in his 10th Dublin marathon in a time of 3:16:54. June O’Brien also ran well in her first marathon.

Three runners from the Fit4Life ran well in the recent City Centre Run in the Dark. In the 10km run, Jackie Deane finished in 54-30 followed closely by Patricia Forde in 55-21. In the 5km run, Claire McGoldrick ran well and finished in 29-02. Also, in the Kilbogget Park 5km, Patricia Forde, Lynn Walsh, Stephanie McDonnell, Carmel Flaherty and Aedin O’Leary all did well with Aedin completing her first 5km ever

In recent Parkrun 5km races in Marlay Demesne, Coach Michael O’Brien improved his personal best from 22-46 to 21-16. Among the Fit4Life group, Patricia Forde improved her personal best from 26-38 to 25.00, Michelle O’Brien improved her personal best from 29-40 to 26-26 and Pat Nolan improved his personal best from 31-00 to 26-34.

Gerry Flaherty also has ran well since the marathon and  took part in three races, the 4 mile BHAA CC race in ALSAA (25.00mins and 2nd team Grade A), 6km mile BHAA CC race in Santry Demesne (23.47mins and 2nd team Grade A) and Marlay Parkrun in 19.02.
