Our good form continued on Friday night with individual titles for both AmyRose Farrell (U16) and Sarah Healy (U15) over 1500m. Both girls had contrasting wins with Sarah leading from the gun in convincing fashion and AmyRose closing out with an emphatic last 400m. Well done to both girls.
Oisin Kelly continues to show improvement finishing in 6th place in the boys U15 1500m and Pappy Tucker was in a comfortable Top 2 position until he had to pull up with a heel injury. Well done to both lads.
Meanwhile our U13 girls A & B teams were involved in the Uneven relay championships with the B team of Issy O’Brien, Cara Brady. Kate Cowman and Sarah O’Brien putting in a strong showing in the heats and just missing out on a final spot. Unlucky girls!!
Our A Team of Emma O’Brien, Sarah AlMukhaizeem, Maria Coffey and Rachael Walshe were comfortable qualifiers for the final and were unlucky not to retain their title when a slight mix up on one of the baton changes left them with too much to do against a strong Clonliffe team. Slightly disappointing for the team but a silver medal is still a strong showing.
