Blackrock Athletics Club welcomes new juvenile members in September and January when coaching ratios allow us to offer new places. Children train in their age group organised by year of birth and there is a wait list for all groups for children born 2007 and younger.

Children start in the year they turn 7 and we waitlist them from January the year before they start. For example, a child born in 2015 will start with us in 2022 and will join our wait list anytime from January 2021.

Places in the club are offered to children on the waitlist with priority given to siblings of existing members, children waiting longest on the list, and children of active adult club members. Very occasionally exceptional athletic ability or a particular team need will give rise to a place mid year.

Unfortunately due to a long wait list and due to the COVID19 need to reduce our group sizes, we are reluctantly closing the waitlist. We hope to reopen it in January 2021.
