Medal success for Blackrock A.C. at the Dublin Masters Cross County 2018 (Report by Gerry Flaherty)
A wonderful and historic day at St. Anne’s Park with 450 completing the Women’s and Men’s Masters races and with 29 members competing for Blackrock A.C in four teams, the highest ever participation from the club in any cross country race.
First up was the ladies race over 2 laps and although the course was fairly solid, everyone found it tough. Dervla Batt had a fabulous strong run and led the club home followed closely by Rachel Kiely and Marie Therese McCoy. Great news at the end when it was announced that the Ladies F50 team (Eva, Clare, Patricia and Mary) had finished third and that Mary Butler was first in her age category.

The Men’s race was held soon after over four tough laps with 280 competing in the race. Read more
