Sarah Healy reigns supreme with GloHealth U14 1500m National title

Sarah Healy dominated Day 4 of the Glo Health Juvenile championships with an emphatic performance in the girls U14 1500m.

Day 3: Ellen Cheung competed in the girls U13 600m on Saturday. It was a gutsy performance in a pulsating race with front runner Corrine Kenny smashing the Irish record at this age group for the second time in two months. Whilst Ellen was hugely disappointed not to be able to transfer her excellent Dublin form to the race it was a great experience, finishing in the middle of the pack and a race which will hold her in good stead moving forward. Well done Ellen on a great track season.

Day 4: Having dominated the XC season both at Schools and Club, Sarah was turning her attention to the track to add to her impressive CV. She had this race in her sights over the last 4 weeks and her hard work in training paid off today when she set up victory with a devastating turn of pace with just over 300m to go and left the field trailing in her wake. It also brought her a PB of 4 mins 52 secs. Another display of powerful running and a sweet victory for her after a few minor hiccups in late May/ early June. This is Sarah’s fourth National title in the last 11 months. Wow !! Well done Sarah on another great day for her, the club and her family. Enjoy the holidays..
