Well done to all those athletes who braved the weather conditions on Sunday morning at the Phoenix Park. Once again we had some notable success as the squad continues to plan it’s preparations towards the Dublin counties in early November.
Whilst quite a few of older squad members were missing due to other sporting commitments and injury, we still had a strong representation with 24 athletes involved.
Our first competitor was the “Blackrock tent”, who this time around managed to stay the distance in difficult conditions!! Well done to Paul Walshe and Paul O’Brien who were instrumental in organising this and it was put to great use by all.
Results summary:
Congratulations to Sarah Healy & Louis Dignam on fine first place finishes.
Sarah O’Brien, Ellen Cheung & Evan Walshe all finished second in their respective races.
Isabel O’Brien and Daniel Mullane secured 3rd place finishes.
Novice Men Summary:
Well done to Gerry Flaherty, John Casey, Dermot Jackson & David Martin who turned in fine performances in the Novice race on Sunday afternoon. With an extremely high standard on show, our team held their own in difficult conditions and it is a welcome return for Blackrock AC who historically would have had a significant representation in this category. Well done to all four.
