Situated on an elevated coastline between Balbriggan and Skerries, Ardgillan Castle presented a challenge worthy of a mountain goat. Indeed the U9’s race starting at the top of the hill had an air of Ski Sunday about it. Borrowing Sebastian Loeb’s no. 208 (from the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb), Doug Walshe led the Blackrock team home with a fine 2nd place in the boys U12 race. We had a fine selection of Top 10 places from Rachel, Robert, Isabel & James O’Brien and Evan Walshe backed up by solid performances from Jack Fairmaner; Jack Muslow; Holly O’Brien; Grace O’Connor; Daniel & Lucy Schwer; Killian Thornton; and Simone Towns!
