The East Leinster XC Schools took place in Avondale on Thursday in very difficult conditions with our club athletes performing very well with their respective schools.
Sarah Healy (Holy Child Killiney) continued her fine form with a win in the Minor girls 1500m with Natasha Twomey (Mount Anville) finishing in fourth place and Anna Daly (Holy Child) in 8th place and Julie Ringrose (Mount Anville) in 10th place. All four girls will run in the Leinster Schools on Wednesday next. Jennifer O’Brien from Mount Anville joined Natasha and Julie on the winning team with Holy Child Killiney in second place.
Padraig Purcell (Colaiste Eoin) also continued his recent good form when finishing in second place in the Boys Minor race. He will also run next week in the Leinster Schools finals.
