We had a big turn out over the last few days at the East Leinster Schools in Santry. Below are the provisional results:
Minor Girls: Sarah O’Brien, Beth Carty and Sophie Metchette (all Mt Anville) were part of the winning 4 x 100 relay whilst Natasha Rolland (Mt Anville), Cara Brady (Loreto) and Lucy Schwer (Holy Child Killiney) all had a fine showings over the two days.
Junior Girls: Congratulations to Emma O’Brien (Mt Anville/ 100m), Bobbi Gilespie (Wesley College/ Walk & Pole Vault), Ellen Cheung (Mt Anville/ 800m) and Laura Cronin (Mt Anville/ HJ) on fine individual titles/ performances. Emma also finished 2nd in the 200m and was part of the winning relay team with Sarah Al Mukhaiseem (Mt Anville). Aoife Linane (St Andrews), Caoimhe Naughton (Mt Anville), Naomi O’Donoghue (Loreto Foxrock), and Aoibh Brady (Loreto Green) were also in action over the two days.
Junior Boys: Evan Walshe (St Benildus) had a fine third place in the 1500m.
Inter Girls: Congratulations to Robyn O’Brien (Mt Anville/100m), Lina Kyne (Rathdown/ Walk), Lara Gilespie (Wesley College/ 800m) and Sarah Healy (HCK/ 1500M) on fine individual titles/ performances. The girls were also involved with their schools in various relay squads with good success and Lara (who is just returning after a long spell out with injury) was also third in the 300m. Robyn also had a fine second place over 200m. Sinead O’Shea (Muckross), Beth Sweeney (Sion Hill), Anna Dignam (Mt Anville) and Kristina O’Connor (Loreto Dalkey) also had fine showings over the two days.
Inter Boys: Congratulations to Oisn Kelly (Newpark CS) on a fine win/ title in the 3000m. He also picked up a bronze in the 1500m S/C. Pappy Tucker & Cianan Martin (both St Micheals) were also to the fore over the two days in the shortter distances and relays with a few top 3 finishes. Jack Moraghan (Clonkeen Col) narrowly missed out on the 400m final and was fourth in a very strong field in the 800m. Well done to all four boys on fine performances over the two days.
Senior Girls: Grace Manning (HCK) had some fine showings in the middle distance events and also in the 4 x 300m relays.
Training partner with our Tuesday group, Roisin Treacy (St Gerards) had a fine win in the Inter girls 1500m S/C.
