Blackrock A.C. membership is open to all members of the community from age 6 upwards. However, due to the high number of juvenile registrations, a waiting list is in place for new juvenile members born in 2008 or later.

Children born 2008 and younger must join our waiting list and will be issued with a formal offer of membership when a place becomes available. So to add your child to the waitlist please click here.

Children born 2007 and older should email juvenileblackrockac@gmail.com to receive an offer of membership and joining instructions.

Please register/renew as soon as possible so that:

  • We have a good handle on numbers training for the coming year
  • Relieve some of the administrative burdens for our volunteers and ensure we have sufficient coaches and volunteers cover
  • Any unreserved slots will be offered to those on the waiting list

 

JUVENILE MEMBERSHIP

Existing Juvenile Members
Existing members should renew their membership via Clubforce.

New Juvenile and Junior members
Due to waitlists for most age groups, new members for the Juvenile Club cannot register via Clubforce unless invited to do so from the waitlist.

Blackrock Athletics Club welcomes new juvenile members in September and January when coaching ratios allow us to offer new places. Children train in their age group organised by year of birth and there is a waitlist for all groups for children born 2007 and younger. Children start in the year they turn 7 and we waitlist them from January the year before they start. For example, a child born in 2015 will start with us in 2022 and will join our waitlist anytime from January 2021.

Places in the club are offered to children on the waitlist with priority given to siblings of active existing members, children waiting longest on the list, children of coaches and children of active adult club members. Very occasionally exceptional athletic ability or a particular team need will give rise to a place mid-year.
Once your child joins the waitlist you will be contacted when a place in their age group becomes available.

For 2021 the youngest children joining are born in 2014. We only waitlist applications for members in the preceding year to joining so please do not apply in 2021 for anyone born after 2015.

There is no waitlist delay for children born 2007 and older so if you wish a teenager to join register them on the waitlist and if there is any delay in communication to you email a query to juvenileblackrockac@gmail.com.

Membership to the senior section of the club is open and we welcome new members to join at any time during the year. The senior section consists of Men and Women’s sections where up to and including elite training is available. Both also merge into the Fit4Life group which all senior members are welcome to take part in.
