Dublin Juvenile performances & results (provisional):
Congratulations to Robyn O’Brien (U18 200m), Daniel Schwer (U12 Javelin) and Denis Gilevskiy (U14 200m/800m) on Dublin titles.
We had a great turn out over the last three days and some really good performances.
In the U12’s/ 2004: Libby O’Gorman made it to the final of the Long Jump and both Libby and Grace O’Connor made it to the final of the 60m and came 5th and 7th respectively. (Annalie McMahon very close in semis to qualification). Luke Moraghan got to the semis of the boys 60m and Sean O’Riagain qualified for the final of the 600m but couldn’t make it back on the Saturday. In the boys U12 Javelin, we had Daniel Schwer (1st) and Jack Fairmaner (3rd). Well done to the lads.
In the U13’s/ 2005’s: we had solid efforts from: 4th Anna McCarthy (shot), Ciara Thornton (javelin), Killian Curran (long jump and hurdles), 5th Killian Curran (80m), Shane van Zuydam (600m) and 6th Tim O’Sullivan (shot).
In the U14’s + older: Ciara Dunne, Simone Towns and Issy O’Brien all performed extremely well in the 200m and 800m events. Doug Walshe picked up a bronze in the U14 Javelin and Ruben Manson won a bronze in the Hurdles in the same category. Cianan Martin had a fine 3rd place in the boys U16 LJ. Jack Moraghan also had a fine showing making the boys U17 400m as well as competing in the 800m. Spare a thought for Pappy Tucker who was a comfortable qualifier in the boys U16 200m heats only to be disqualified for a false start in the final. Robyn O’Brien (200m) and Denis Gilevskiy (200m/800m) were outstanding over the three days in their respective events taking individual titles.
