Youth Section: Academy, Juveniles & Juniors
Our youth programme is designed to encourage a lifelong love for athletics in a fun, social and supportive environment. From age 6 to 19, we help athletes reach their potential, whether they aim to compete at a national level or simply stay active with friends.
- Academy (Ages 6–7)
A gentle introduction to athletics through games and drills that build agility and coordination. - Juveniles (Ages 8–14)
Training shifts seasonally from Cross Country (Autumn/Winter) to Track and Field (Spring/Summer). Athletes can explore various disciplines like sprints, hurdles, and jumping. - Juniors (Ages 15–19)
Older teenagers can choose between Sprinting or Middle Distance focused coaching. Specialist field event coaching is also available. Athletes can choose to compete in individual and relay events. There is no obligation on any athlete to compete if they prefer not to.
Coaching & Safety
All sessions are led by Garda-vetted coaches who have completed child welfare training. We are a volunteer-led club and always welcome parents interested in long-term coaching roles.
